A lead marketplace with both sides built.

Boiler Comparisons is a UK lead generation platform for the boiler market. Homeowners request quotes on the public site, installers receive matched enquiries in their own portal, and the platform handles everything in between: scoring, routing, chasing and billing.

Live

The problem

Lead generation in this market has a short shelf life: an enquiry that sits unanswered over a weekend is worthless by Monday. Handling that by hand does not scale past the first few leads a day, so the entire pipeline, from the form to the invoice, had to run itself.

What we built

The public side is a comparison site with a quote funnel, a cost calculator and a library of guides. Behind it, every enquiry is scored and matched to installers covering that postcode, with fair rotation so no firm takes everything and caps so no firm gets flooded.

Installers work in their own portal: leads offered, accepted and reported on, with a wallet and monthly billing. Staff run the whole operation from an admin platform, and unanswered offers are chased and reoffered automatically, so no lead dies quietly.

What we refused to build

Some things were refused on principle:

  • No fake reviews, even as placeholders. The reviews section renders nothing until there are real ones.
  • No invented trading history or founding date.

Where it stands

The platform is live and operating, with new enquiries scored, routed and billed without a human in the loop. Most of the engine is not boiler-specific, and it is built to be pointed at other home improvement verticals.

Common questions

Could this work for my industry?

If your business lives on enquiries that need qualifying, routing to the right person and following up before they go cold, then the shape of this build fits: home improvement, renewables, repairs, and most local services. The vertical changes, the engine does not.

How much of this could my business use without the marketplace part?

Quite a lot. Enquiry scoring, automatic follow-up and clean routing to the right person are useful to any business that wins work through its website, marketplace or not. That can be built on its own.
