An electrician who wanted the bigger jobs.

Crest Electrical Contractors is an electrical firm in Milton Keynes doing domestic, commercial and EV work. The brief was a website that could win the jobs worth winning, not just fill a diary with socket swaps.

The problem

Crest had no real web presence, and the work they wanted more of, commercial contracts and EV installation, is exactly the work a thin one-page website never wins. A facilities manager checking out a contractor and a homeowner with a tripping fuse board need entirely different things from the same firm, and a single page cannot speak to both.

What we built

The site splits at the front door: domestic, commercial, and EV and renewables each get their own route, their own language and their own way in. Sixteen services are written out as proper pages rather than a list of bullet points, so each one can be found by the person searching for it.

Every page carries a route to a quote, a call and WhatsApp, because an electrician's customer decides quickly once they have decided at all. Project and area pages carry the local proof.

  • Domestic, commercial and EV split with separate routes through the site
  • Sixteen services, each written as its own page
  • Project pages and areas covered for local proof
  • Quote, call and WhatsApp routes on every page
  • Built mobile first and to pass its own speed and quality checks

What we refused to build

Some things were deliberately left out:

  • No invented reviews or trading history. Trust is built with real work, plainly shown.
  • No accreditation logos beyond what the firm actually holds.
  • No promise of Google rankings. Nobody can promise that.

Where it stands

The site is live at crestelectricalcontractors.co.uk, and Crest is on the monthly arrangement, so it keeps gaining pages and improvements now that it is out rather than going stale.

Common questions

Why split domestic and commercial so hard?

Because they are different buyers with different questions. A homeowner wants a price, a date and someone who turns up. A commercial client wants to know you can carry the job, the paperwork and the insurance before they ever ring. One page trying to serve both loses both.

Could you build this for my electrical firm?

Yes. The structure is proven, but the design, the words and the services are built for your firm from scratch, never copied from another electrician. Two firms in the same trade never get the same site.
